Aqualand Maspalomas

Located a few kilometers from Maspalomas, this water park is one of the most popular attractions on the island.

It features numerous attractions, including high-speed slides like Kamikaze and Tornado. Additionally, the park offers child-friendly zones like Polynesia and Children’s Paradise, where the little ones can enjoy water games in a safe environment.

Palmitos Park

Situated 12 km from Maspalomas, near the village of Los Palmitos, this unique animal and botanical park.

It boasts one of the largest collections of palm trees in Europe, along with many tropical and subtropical plants.

The park is home to various animals, including parrots, dolphins, eagles, turtles, monkeys, and crocodiles. A standout attraction is the dolphin show, which is very popular with visitors.

Holiday World Maspalomas

Located in the center of Maspalomas, this entertainment and leisure center includes an amusement park, bowling alleys, a fitness center, a wellness area, and various dining options.

The amusement park offers numerous attractions, including carousels, roller coasters, and bumper cars. It is definitely a good program for children.

Cocodrilo Park

Located on the outskirts of the village of Los Corralillos, between the airport and Maspalomas, this park is known as a haven for crocodiles. Its aim is to provide a refuge for abandoned, injured, or rescued animals from illegal trade.

Despite its name, the park features more than just crocodiles. Its animal collection includes big cats like tigers and lions, as well as smaller mammals, birds, and reptiles.

Sioux City Park

Located 7 km from Maspalomas, this park recreates the world of the American Wild West, particularly the atmosphere and environment of the 1800s with incredible detail.

The constructed town looks just like a classic western movie set, complete with a sheriff’s office, bank, church, and a traditional Indian village. The park’s inhabitants include cowboys, bandits, and Indians who regularly participate in spectacular Wild West shows, such as duels, bank robberies, and horse shows.

Children can try horseback riding and archery, and there is also a small petting farm.

Camel Safari Park

Located north of Maspalomas, near the village of Arteara along route 60.

Visitors can experience desert life and the excitement of camel riding. Experienced guides accompany the groups on tours, sharing interesting information about the camels and the local flora and fauna.

Part of the park is designed to showcase traditional Canarian village life, with old tools and buildings on display, offering insights into local culture and history.

The park also features various animals such as goats, lambs, ponies, and exotic birds. Additionally, there is a botanical garden.

Museo del Plátano

Located a few kilometers from Las Palmas, this museum is situated on a banana plantation.

It showcases the history of banana cultivation, the techniques of growing the plant, and the economic and social impacts of banana trade in the Canary Islands and worldwide.

Visitors can taste locally grown bananas and learn how their flavor differs from those available in international markets.

Poema del Mar Aquarium

This modern aquarium, opened in 2017, is located near the port of Las Palmas.

It has three main sections: surface habitats, deep sea, and jungle. Each section showcases different marine and freshwater environments.

One of the most spectacular parts is the Deep Sea section, where you can view deep-sea life through a giant 36-meter-long and 7-meter-high window.

Cueva Pintada Museum

The „Painted Cave Museum” is one of Gran Canaria’s most important archaeological and cultural attractions, located in the town of Gáldar.

The museum is named after an ancient cave whose walls are decorated with colorful geometric patterns. These paintings are one of the most significant examples of Guanche art, offering important insights into pre-Hispanic culture.

The archaeological park surrounding the museum features the remains of many other ancient dwellings and settlements.
